How browsing, search, analytics, and correction submissions are handled on the Research Library.
Browsing and search
Research Library search runs in your browser using the published search index. Search terms can appear in the page address so a search can be bookmarked or shared.
Google Analytics
The Research Library uses Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the archive. The configured measurement property is G-Y5B9BDBT7K. Google Analytics may use browser identifiers and related technologies according to Google’s own privacy practices.
Corrections and contributions
If you use the Corrections & Contributions form, the name, email address, message, source information, and article context you provide are sent to Trackpads so the submission can be reviewed and, when appropriate, answered. Do not include sensitive personal information that is not necessary for the submission.
Links to other sites
Opening a Trackpads page or another external source takes you to another site or service, whose own privacy practices apply.
Hosting
The web server or hosting provider may keep ordinary access logs, which can include requested page addresses, browser information, and network information used to operate and secure the service.
